QUALIFICATIONS:                         

Competent, Experienced Gianis, Kathakars and Paathis

MAIN DUTIES:                                

Assistance in running the Gurdwara Smoothly by ensuring the following duties and responsibilities: Day to Day religious activities in line with the teachings of the Sikh Religion, Daily worship, Officiating marriages, births and deaths, Perform and Understand Gurbani Kirtan hymns, katha and playing the Harmonium and Tabla in accordance with the tenets of the Sikh Faith, To ensure the Darbar (prayer hall) is prepared for daily services and the Gurdwara premises are kept clean.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:          

Knowledge and experience of reading the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. Experience of using Indian musical instruments (Harmonium, Tabla etc) used in performing Keertan - singing hymns. Must be a practising Amritdhari Sikh. Speaking English is desirable.

WAGES:                                           

National Minimum Living Wage

ACCOMMODATION:                    

HOURS :                                           

Full Time -  30 Hours per week.

HOLIDAY ENTITLEMENT:             

Statutory holiday entitlement

CONTRACT PERIOD:                      

Fixed Term two years.

PROBATION PERIOD:                   

3 Months
